Valsartan

Description

Valsartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and heart failure. It works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a hormone that causes blood vessels to constrict, thereby relaxing the blood vessels, reducing blood pressure, and improving blood flow. Valsartan is also used to improve survival after a heart attack and in patients with chronic kidney disease.
