Description

Salbutamol Sulphate, also known as albuterol sulfate in some regions, is a short-acting beta-2 adrenergic agonist used as a bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the smooth muscles of the airways, leading to the dilation of bronchial passages. This helps in relieving the symptoms of asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and exercise-induced bronchospasm.

Salbutamol is commonly used in the form of inhalers, nebulizers, or oral tablets to treat bronchospasm (narrowing of the airways) in various respiratory conditions. It is often referred to as a rescue medication due to its fast-acting effects.
